How to get a quote from Dsposal green man with orange question mark standing next to bin with a pound sign

The waste industry is a quote driven industry. If you need to get some rubbish removed or some waste collected then you'll probably need a quote. Actually more than one is always good. Enter Dsposal. With Dsposal you can send one quote or a handful; all of which is handled within Dsposal.

In this article you’ll find out how to get quotes, how to add multiple sites to your shortlist and how to find the replies.

Before You Start

Before you send a quote you should know that:

Where to get a quote from?

First things first. The ability to get a quote can only be done from the listings page or a site profile page. To get to the listings page you'll have to do a search from the homepage.  You don't need to fill in the first box for waste type, but you do need to fill in an address.  Either fill in a location or press the "Use my current location" button. Then hit search.

This page is the listings page. From here you can press Get Quote; or you can press View Profile to get more information about the site and then press the Get Quote from there.

Getting a quote from the listings page

On listings page you can get a quote by pressing the Get Quote button.  You can get quotes from Full Profiles, Limited Profiles and even unclaimed profiles; however you cannot get quotes from Household Waste Recycling Centres.

When you press the Get Quote button a form will appear.  This form will guide you through the process of giving the correct information to the waste site. You should provide:

  • your postcode (Dsposal only sends the first part of the postcode to protect your privacy)
  • the date you would like the work to be carried out
  • a subject to make it easier to find in your inbox
  • a message

In the message you should give details of the work you need doing. Then some additional information to get a more accurate quote. For example:

  • Are there any access issues?
  • Have you had the work done before?
  • If there is waste to be moved is it solid or liquid?
  • What process has created the waste?
  • We advise you not to give out your address or telephone number and to communicate through Dsposal.

Then press Submit. This will send a message to the waste site.

Sending a Single Quote Request from the waste site profile

From the waste site profile page you can get a quote by pressing the Get Quote button.  You can get quotes from Full Profiles, Limited Profiles and even unclaimed profiles; however you cannot get quotes from Household Waste Recycling Centres.

When you press the Get Quote button you will find yourself in the shortlist section of the dashboard. In there you will see all the current waste sites that are on your shortlist.  You can either view these profiles or remove them from your shortlist.  Once you are happy, press the Send message to selected companies. This will open a form that will guide you through the process of giving the correct information to the waste sites.

  • If there is waste to be moved is it solid or liquid?
  • What process has created the waste?
  • We advise you not to give out your address or telephone number and to communicate through Dsposal.

Then press Send. This will send messages to the different waste sites. The waste site will not know who else you sent a message to.

Sending Multiple Quote Requests from the waste site profile

Why send one quote, when you can send more?  With Dsposal you can add multiple waste sites to a Shortlist.  Then send one message to each of the sites individually.  This saves time for you and means you will get multiple quotes back to easily compare them.

You can only add waste profiles from the waste site profile pages, and not from the listings page. This is how it is done:

Make your way to a waste site profile

Press the blue Add to Shortlist Button

The button will turn green to let you know it is on your shortlist

Repeat

The shortlist is in your Dashboard. You can check it by heading to your Dashboard and choosing My Shortlist from the side bar. In there you will see all the current waste sites that are on your shortlist.  You can either view these profiles or remove them from your shortlist.  Once you are happy, press the Send message to selected companies. This will open a form that will guide you through the process of giving the correct information to the waste sites. You should provide:

  • your postcode (Dsposal only sends the first part of the postcode to protect your privacy)
  • the date you would like the work to be carried out

  • We advise you not to give out your address or telephone number and to communicate through Dsposal.

Then press Submit. This will send messages to the different waste sites. The waste site will not know who else you sent a message to.
