Our Cardiff site also receives and processes Air Pollution Control Residue (APCr), strong acids and bulk effluents, like Stoke. In addition, the site processes oxidizing liquids and boasts a sulphide oxidization process. These include refinery-type wastes such as caustic materials, made up of alkalis with sulphide or fluoride, and waste from the oil and gas industry.
The Cardiff treatment plant's niche capabilities mean it is well suited to wastes from the Oil & Gas sector. Large volumes of bulk acidic and alkaline liquids are received from such customers, often containing contaminants such as Sulphide and Fluoride.
Our Cardiff site is also the home of Castle Construction Products (CCP), which are innovating ways to recycle residues from waste treatment processes, by incorporating them into low-carbon construction products.
