In this article, you'll learn how to start using Your Dsposal to find different organisations, companies or services to help with your rubbish.
Search the directory
Your Dsposal's directory works like most other search websites.
- Describe your waste or required service
- Provide your location
- Instantly find legal waste companies near you
There are lots of ways you could describe your waste:
- A type of rubbish. For example, mixed household waste or mattress or glass bottles or brick rubble
- A company name or recycling centre name. For example Biffa or Every Street Recycling Centre or Environment Services Chesterfield
- A service that you might need. So you might want confidential paper shredding or maybe septic tank emptying or asbestos removal
- An EWC Code (if you’re familiar with EWC codes and want more useful compliance tools beyond our Waste Thesaurus and Directory then head over to Dsposal for more functionality)
How to provide your location:
- The more specific the location the more accurate the results will be. For example, searching for Baker Street, London will give better answers than just London
- You can search for postcodes, streets, towns, cities, or counties. But remember the more specific, the better.

Filter the search
You can used our Advanced Search to refine your search. You can filter by:
- Site Types - to limit to the recycling centres then just toggle the switch for Recycling Centres (HWRC)
- Licence Types - this is a lot more advanced and is mainly for people looking for a specific type of waste company
- the distance - you can limit the distance in miles to a minimum of 1 mile and a maximum of 300.
Visit company profiles
The company profiles on Your Dsposal provide information on each legal waste company in the directory.
You'll be able to go to their website, get directions or give them a call. You can also see all of their licences and permits listed, in case you like to see the detail. (Don’t worry - we only show legal, licensed waste companies.)
