Using the Compliance Dashboard to achieve Passive Compliance

Dsposal's Compliance Dashboard is your go-to place to manage all your waste compliance, documents, contracts, and data. By using the dashboard, you'll achieve passive compliance.
What is Passive Compliance?
Passive compliance, in the resources, recycling, and waste industry, is when the easiest thing to do is also the right thing to do. This can be anything from putting recycling in the correct bin, to only using licensed and legal contractors, or selecting the correct document type when moving waste.
Within the sector there are many legal processes and procedures to follow, such as:
- licence obligations
- the waste hierarchy
- different paperwork requirements
These overlap, interact, and can be disorientating to navigate. A lot of time and effort must be spent making sure you are meeting the different rules and regulations. Even when an outcome has been achieved, this is only true at a single point in time. Licences are revoked, documents expire, and laws change.
Compliance is you ticking all of those boxes. It is you following all those rules. It is you being responsible for understanding the rules and regulations. Doing this is difficult and time-consuming.
Passive compliance is the boxes being ticked, the rules being followed, and all the information being provided. Your decision becomes automatically compliant, not just now but also into the future.
What is Dsposal's Compliance Dashboard?
Dsposal's Compliance Dashboard is an online tool that helps you meet your recycling and waste responsibilities.
As a waste management company, you can upload your permits, licences, insurances, and certificates. When they are approaching expiry, you will receive notifications to tell you what is happening.
As a waste producer, you can follow your waste management suppliers and access those same permits, licences, insurances, and certificates. Then, when they are close to expiry or have been updated, you receive a notification explaining the change.
Depending on whether you are a waste management organisation or a waste producer, you can achieve passive compliance through the Compliance Dashboard.
How do I Achieve Passive Compliance with the Dashboard?
The Compliance Dashboard is a hub that contains, through the Environment Agency's data, all the licensed and permitted waste organisations in England. By following a site, you already know that it is regulated by the Environment Agency.
You also get access to insurance documents and additional certificates relating to that site.
These items are then linked to notifications. You will be notified of documents that are close to expiry and when they have been updated.
With one click of a button, by following a site you gain passive compliance.
Who should be Using the Compliance Dashboard?
Every organisation that either creates waste or deals with waste should be using Dsposal's Compliance Dashboard. And since it is free, there is no barrier to entry.
The Compliance Dashboard is a network of waste producers and waste organisations. Waste organisations upload their documents and, in turn, their customers follow them and meet their duty of care. Everybody in the network is notified and informed. Everybody remains compliant.
Waste organisations only need to provide valid documents once and their whole supply chain is notified. No chasing duty of care packs. No sorting through PDF downloads.
