Dsposal is an online platform that allows anyone in England to find a licensed waste company, check their duty of care documents quickly and easily and get competitive quotes. Are you a licensed waste company? Do you want people to get a quote from you? Do you want to improve your presence online? Yes? Then we're here to help you become the right place for your future customers' waste.

In this article, you'll learn how to claim your licence on Dsposal, add site information, documents and services to your profile.

Before You Start?

Before you jump into the tasks ahead, here are a few helpful things to know.

  • Dsposal is a web-based application that works in most web browsers, which means you don't need to download or install any software on your computer. To be sure Dsposal works properly your web browser needs to meet our requirements.
  • While you can use Dsposal for free you have to have to register for an account to claim a waste site profile.
  • We removed the limit on how many profiles and company can have - it is now unlimited!

Claim A Waste Site Profile

Claiming a waste site profile in Dsposal helps you and your customers stay compliant effortlessly.

By claiming a waste site profile, you will showcase your business on Dsposal (as well as on the Your Dsposal directory and other external directories) and drive website visits. You can upload your licences, insurances and certificates. And then you and your clients will receive notifications of when these documents are coming up for renewal.

Create an Account or Login

To claim a profile you'll need to have an account on Dsposal.  To get an account head to the registration page or if you already have on then Log in.

You claim profiles from the dashboard.  Now that you are signed in, head to the Dsposal Dashboard.

Claiming your Site

From the dashboard you need to head to "Sites".  This can be found in the right hand sidebar.

On the sites screen you will see the the "Add Licences Site" button.  After clicking this button you'll be able to add your site details (either registration number, business name or postcode).

After you have searched you can then press "Claim".  This will open the claim wizard.


Complete your Profile

After the waste site has been claimed you need to make it easier for your customers to find you and know about what you do.  By editing your profile you can:

  • Upload your logo
  • Add site and company details
  • Add site services
  • Move the map pin to your be exactly where you want it

Uploading your Licence Documents

Step 1) From “Licences, Insurances and Certificates” locate the licence in the site and press “Edit”.
Step 2) To upload the licence click the box or drop the file into the upload box. The information below is not editable and is retrieved from the Environment Agency Public Registers Database.
Step 3) For Operations Licences and/or Installations Licences press add activity table.
Step 4) Complete the Activity Tables based on the information from the permit from the Environment Agency. Enter in the separate EWC Codes for each activity table. These tables help customers find the right waste for their waste. These entries are linked to the Dsposal Waste Thesaurus and are indexed against each site profile.

Uploading your Insurance Documents

Step 1) From “Licences, Insurances and Certificates” press the “Add insurance” button.
Step 2) To upload the insurance document click the box or drop the file into the upload box.
Step 3) Choose the site the document corresponds to.
Step 4) Input the information from the document in to the separate fields. If your insurance isn’t available, you can request a new one by phoning us at 0161 327 2755.
Step 5) Press “Save & Publish”.

Uploading Your Certificate Documents

Step 1) From “Licences, Insurances and Certificates” press the “Add certificate” button.
Step 2) To upload the certificate document click the box or drop the file into the upload box.
Step 3) Choose the site the document corresponds to.
Step 4) Input the information from the document in to the separate fields. If your certificate type isn’t available, you can request a new one by phoning us at 0161 327 2755.
Step 5) Press “Save & Publish”.

About Expiry Dates

Dsposal notifies you and the users that follow you about when documents are coming up to expiry. These notifications are sent:

  • 30 days before expiry date
  • 7 days before expiry date
  • Date of expiry

A further notification is sent when a document is updated. These notifications are sent through the “Trash Talk” system.
